Обогащенный оловом шлак, получаемый при окислительном рафинировании веркблея кислородом воздуха, в виде порошко- или тестообразной массы цвета от желтовато-серого до коричневого. Оксиды As и Sb окрашивают а. о. в темный цвет. При переработке богатого Sn веркблея образуется порошковидный а. о., содержащий, мае. %: 60—65 РЬ; 6—12 Sn; 0,5— 1,5 As; 9-14 Sb и др.
